Why dark blue works in bedrooms

Very dark blues with a red base (NCS R80B) help you rest because they cut down the light. They feel cozy and aren't as intense as black.

Application tips

• Paint all four walls the same. If the ceiling is high, paint that too.
• Use light fabrics like linen or off-white.
• Leave doors and frames in off-white or use the same blue as the wall.

The right finish
