Color trends: the return of greige and mediterranean neutrals

We explain why greige and earth tones work so well in your home. We use NCS and Seigneurie codes to help you get the wall color right.

Color palette

Greige Suave
NCS S 2005-Y20R
Cendre 1248
Seigneurie 1248
Gris seda
RAL 7044
Mocha Mousse
Pantone 17-1230
Arena Cálida
NCS S 1002-Y50R

Greige and neutral tones

Greige is our most requested color right now. It is a mix of gray and beige that looks elegant without making the house feel cold. If your living room gets a lot of light, NCS S 1002-Y50R works great because it is a neutral base that you won't get tired of.

For something with more body, we have Seigneurie Cendre 1248 in the Seigneurie Prestige chart. It looks good with wood furniture or metal accents. If you want a clean and spacious feel here on the Costa Brava, RAL 7044 Silk gray is a safe bet.

Earth tones for a cozy home

Earth colors are best for bedrooms. Pantone 17-1230 Mocha Mousse adds warmth, especially with linen curtains or natural fiber rugs.

To get a good result, you can paint the base with NCS S 2005-Y20R and use RAL 9010 Pure white for the door frames. If you want an accent wall that catches the light, try NCS S 3010-Y30R.

How we work with color

At the shop, we use the NCS Colour system. It is a language that turns what your eye sees into logical codes. With references like NCS S 2005-Y20R, we know exactly how much black or yellow is in the paint. This way, the color you pick at the counter is the same one that arrives at your home anywhere in Europe.

Here at Suministros Barrero, we carry wallpaper and Blatem paint. We help you find the exact shade with international charts so the mix is right.
