Color trends: Greige and Mediterranean neutrals with NCS and RAL

Neutrals beyond white

Many customers come to Suministros Barrero looking for a calm feel. Greige and warm neutrals are the top choices now. Here at our Costa Brava store, we see people wanting depth on their walls without making the space feel crowded.

We use the NCS system to get it right. It is based on how we see colors and lets you pick paint with precision.

Greige and earth tones

Greige is a mix of gray and beige. If you do not want a room to look cold or too yellow, NCS S 2005-Y20R is a balanced base. It works for living rooms and bedrooms.

For a Mediterranean style, try clay tones. NCS S 3010-Y30R looks like earth and traditional architecture. With Blatem paint, these colors look natural when the light hits them.

Matching with the RAL system

The RAL system is mostly for metal, doors, and windows. RAL 7044 Silk grey goes well with greige walls. It makes the transition from the wall to the furniture look clean.

If you like something creamier, RAL 1015 Light ivory is a trend in 2024. Use it on moldings or ceilings to make the room cozy instead of looking like a hospital.

Picking the reference for your project

Light changes color. NCS S 1502-Y50R looks different depending on whether the room gets morning or afternoon sun.

In the shop or for shipping to Europe, we always say you should check physical samples with these codes:

• For minimalist styles: RAL 7047 Telegrey 4.
• For rustic styles: NCS S 4010-Y30R.

Precision with NCS and RAL

Using NCS and RAL codes ensures your wallpaper or Blatem paint looks exactly how you want. These Mediterranean tones last for years and you won't get tired of them. Stop by the shop in Costa Brava or check the online catalog to see these palettes.
