The local style moved away from sharp contrasts. Now we look for colors that remind us of the sand or stone in Tossa de Mar and Blanes.

For walls, NCS S 2005-Y20R works very well. It has 20% blackness and 5% chromaticity with a yellowish-red touch. This is the greige that looks best because it changes with the daylight. If you want something darker for a sunny facade in La Selva, NCS S 3010-Y30R is the right choice.

Precision with RAL for trim and metalwork

Windows, metal, and furniture use the RAL system. This is how you make sure the color of a metal piece matches a lacquered finish.

RAL 7044 (Silk gray) looks great with those NCS tones I mentioned. It does not distract from the decor. If you want something more cream for a renovation in Girona, RAL 1015 (Light ivory) is the most common choice.

How to combine textures and colors
