Color trends: from greige to terracotta in Lloret de Mar

If you are planning to paint your home in Lloret de Mar or Tossa de Mar, you will notice that earth tones and warm grays are leading the way. Here at the Suministros Barrero counter, we see every day how these colors work with the Costa Brava light. We use the NCS and RAL systems because they make sure the color you see on the sample is the one that ends up on your wall.

Greige and neutrals on the Costa Brava

Pure white is making way for tones with more body. The NCS S 2005-Y20R is a great example. It is a balanced greige that does not feel cold. If you prefer the RAL chart, RAL 7044 Silk grey works well for facades or interiors when you want a calm look. According to NCS Colour, this system is based on how we see color, which helps you pick tones that are easy on the eyes. These colors go well with the local Girona stone and light wood furniture.

Earth tones and Mediterranean warmth

To give character to a living room or a master bedroom, colors with reddish or yellow pigments are popular. The NCS S 3010-Y30R brings a warmth that reminds us of the ceramics from the La Selva area. If you want something darker for a feature wall or woodwork, RAL 010 20 25 Rostrot (Oxide red) has plenty of strength without being loud. These earth colors work because they connect the indoors with the landscape around Blanes.

Choosing between NCS and RAL

We help you decide here at the shop. RAL Farben is great for industrial finishes, lacquers, or metalwork because it is standardized. NCS is the favorite for Blatem emulsion paint on walls because it lets you fine-tune the amount of black or chroma. A RAL 9010 Pure white is a standard we all know, but an NCS S 0502-Y gives that "off-white" touch that makes a Costa Brava home feel cozy rather than like a hospital.

Scent marketing: the aroma of your colors

Color starts with the eyes, but the atmosphere is finished with scent. Scent marketing helps your home or business in Lloret de Mar have its own identity. We carry the Oro line by Air-Bosq to finish off your renovation.

• The clean NCS S 0502-Y tone fits with AQUA. Its notes of bergamota and sea jasmine back up the clarity of the color.
• For a warm atmosphere based on NCS S 3010-Y30R, we suggest COLONIA. The touch of coffee and vanilla goes perfectly with earth tones.
• The elegant RAL 7044 Silk grey pairs with HER. It is a floral fragrance with musk that brings out the sophistication of neutral grays.
