NCS and RAL color trends for Mediterranean interiors

Hello. If you are thinking about painting your home in Lloret de Mar or anywhere on the Costa Brava, you probably noticed colors have changed. We are moving away from cold, pure whites. Customers coming into Suministros Barrero now ask for warmth. They want a living room that feels cozy but still has that clean Mediterranean look.

To get the exact tone, we use professional systems. We do not guess colors here. We use NCS Colour and RAL charts so the code you pick is what actually shows up on your wall. This is the only way to make sure the result in Girona matches what you planned on paper.

The power of greige and warm neutrals

The color leaving our shop most often right now is greige. It is a balanced mix of gray and beige. If you want something soft that goes with light wood, reference NCS S 2005-Y20R is a great pick. It has a very subtle yellow base that keeps the room from looking like an office.

If you prefer something with more body, RAL 7044 Silk grey is a safe bet. It is a popular shade for interiors in La Selva because it works well with the natural light in our area. It reflects brightness without glaring. For a more earthy feel, NCS S 3010-Y30R adds depth that reminds us of the sand in our local coves. It is a fuller tone, perfect for bedrooms where you want calm.

How to match with the RAL system

The RAL Classic system is very useful for woodwork and structural parts. According to RAL Colours, this system makes communication easy between designers and painters. If your walls are light, you can use RAL 1015 Light ivory on frames or ceilings to create a soft contrast. It is not a harsh white; it is a cream tone that softens the corners.

For those who want to break the monotony without taking a big risk, RAL 7032 Pebble grey is an excellent choice. This color lasts a long time and you won't get tired of it. It looks great in kitchens open to the living room, which is a very common renovation style here in Blanes and Tossa de Mar.

Colors that smell like home with Air-Bosq

Color starts with the eyes, but the atmosphere is finished with scent. At Suministros Barrero, we work with scent marketing so your home or business in Girona has its own identity. The colors we talked about bring up feelings you can boost with our fragrance line.

For example, sand tones like NCS S 3010-Y30R fit perfectly with COLONIA. Its notes of coffee and vanilla reinforce that warm, earthy feeling. If you chose the freshness of RAL 7044 Silk grey, I recommend AQUA. It is a citrus fragrance with bergamot and rosemary that brings the sea breeze right into your living room.

For spaces decorated with the neutral NCS S 2005-Y20R, the best choice is UNO. It is a clean scent based on green tea and musk that respects the simple look of the color. You can see all the options in our Air-Bosq air freshener catalog.
