Terracotta and earth tones: warm colors for 2026
Washed-out terracottas are coming back. They have less shine and hints of pink or gray that make them look modern.

The mistake with saturated terracottas
A very bright terracotta like NCS S 3060-Y60R can look like an old tavern. For 2026, we are lowering the saturation. It is better to use chromaticity between 20 and 40 with the Y50R–Y70R nuance.
Three ways to use them
- Pink clay on one wall and off-white on the others.
- Washed terracotta on the wall with off-white woodwork.
- Sienna earth on walls, ceiling, and baseboards with wood floors.
